AMC's intense crime drama The Killing hooked viewers last year with a perplexing murder mystery involving a teenage girl, but left them wriggling with an inconclusive season finale. Producers of the show, which was nominated for six Emmy Awards, promise that the second season will reveal "who killed Rosie Larsen?" though answers probably won't come easily.

The show returns with a two-hour premiere on April 1, and anyone wanting to refresh their memories can do so with The Killing: The Complete First Season ,  The four-disc set includes the show's 13 episodes, an extended season finale, and commentary on it and the two-hour pilot. It is an Americanized version of the award-winning Danish TV program Forbrydelsen

Mireille Enos stars as Sarah Linden, a dogged Seattle homicide detective who is cleaning out her desk and is just hours away from leaving for a new life in California with her fiancé and son when her boss dumps one last case on her. She's paired with her supposed replacement, Stephen Holder an edgy former narc who is new to homicide. They are looking for a girl, Rosie Larsen who was last seen at a Friday-night school party, but is nowhere to be found when her family returns from a weekend camping trip. Police find her bound and brutalized body in the trunk of a car, where she drowned when it was submerged in a lake.

It is a shocking discovery made more powerful by the presence of her father when the trunk is opened and his wife's hysterical reaction as she hears his screams over the phone, knowing that their worst fears have been realized. Such stark emotions fuel The Killing, which goes beyond simply solving the case to explore its devastating effect on the girl's family and friends, how it bedevils the investigators and the ramifications it has for the mayoral candidate (Billy Campbell), whose campaign owned the car dragged out of the lake.Walmart will convert DVDs to digital
