DVD Review Franklin And Bash The Complete First Season
Franklin and Bash is just the kick in the nards that the legal procedural genre needed to become interesting again. Certainly other series have added their own twists lately Drop Dead Diva comes to mind but this frat-buddy, arrested development bromance of Jared Franklin and Peter Bash has a fresh, brash feel to it and it's got a more plum network promoting it.

Seeing red over blue DVDs
KUALA LUMPUR: THE DVD may look like it's a blockbuster pirate movie, with pictures of the cast decked in pirate outfits, but a closer look will reveal that the production is nothing more than an X-rated film. This is fast becoming a common sight as many pirated DVD peddlers are brazenly displaying pornographic material openly now.

DVD Review Exit Humanity A Zombie Saga
If there’s a new zombie movie or television show, you know I am going to be watching it. What better way to spend a Friday night than having the bejeezums scared out of you. Everyone seems to have their own opinion of what zombies are like from the time of day they come out to how lifelike they really are.

DVD Review:Washington: Behind Closed Doors
Behind Closed Doors, the award winning 1977 TV miniseries based on Nixon aide John Ehrlichman's roman à clef about the events leading up to the Watergate break in, is now available on a three-disc DVD set from Acorn Media Group. Running a bit short of 600 minutes, the series is divided into six episodes, covering the period from the end of what would have been the Johnson administration and the election of Nixon to the invitation to visit China and the break-in just prior to the campaign for reelection. Names of course have been changed and characters tweaked, but the identities of all the major players and even some of the lesser figures are made abundantly clear.

The Seeds of Death
The BBC revisits another classic Doctor Who story, this time from the second Doctor, Patrick Troughton. Previously released on DVD, this special edition of The Seeds of Death isn't a huge improvement on the original disc, mainly because the bar was set so high originally. This six-part adventure has a lot going for it: it features the Ice Warriors who launch an ambitious, if slightly odd, invasion of Earth, The Doctor travels to the moon via rocket, and soap suds bury part of London. How cool is that? With three new bonus features and an image that has been improved only slightly, this SE isn't worth a double dip, though it is worth picking up if you don't have it already.
