Franklin and Bash is just the kick in the nards that the legal procedural genre needed to become interesting again. Certainly other series have added their own twists lately Drop Dead Diva comes to mind but this frat-buddy, arrested development bromance of Jared Franklin and Peter Bash has a fresh, brash feel to it and it's got a more plum network promoting it.

These irrepressible flirts and perennial party boys are the joke of the legal profession, with courtroom theatrics that test the patience of most judges and often earning them contempt violations But they win. And when they come out on top in a particularly high profile case, they attract the attention of Stanton Infeld the eccentric senior partner at Infeld-Daniels who offers them positions within the firm. Franklin and Bash accept the offer, but still hold to the values of representing the underdog and practicing street-smart defense and litigation  which is just what Infeld wants them to do.

Their attitudes dont sit so well, however, with firm partners Damien Carp and Hanna Linden and Damien is determined that the tenure of Franklin and Bash at Infeld-Daniels will be a short one. But with the support of their staff, street smart investigator Carmen Phillips nd germophobic legal strategist Pindar singh Franklin and Bash start to make a new name for themselves in the big leagues, attracting major clients and giving judges headaches all over town.

Their cases are never run-of-the-mill Consider the case of Carter Lang the head of a financial investment firm who allows himself multiple arrests while stealing from his company to repay investors he defrauded. But this Robin Hood works out of motivated guilt: he has a terminal illness. Or so he thinks. And when the diagnosis is corrected, he suddenly loses his repentive attitude throwing his legal team for an ethical loop.
